Hide any Local Drive using Command prompt / get back Hidden Drive again in My Computer

How to Hide any Local Drive using Command prompt

  • Press Win+R
  • Type CMS & press ENTER.
  • Type DISKPART & Press Enter.
  • Type LIST VOLUME & press ENTER. Now it will display all your Computer Drives.
  • Now type DRIVE LETTER which you want to HIDE.
  • Suppose you want to hide D: then type SELECT VOLUME D & press ENTER. After that it will show you that VOLUME 4 is the selected volume.
  • After that type REMOVE LETTER D: & press ENTER.
  • Now restart your PC.

How to get back Hidden Drive again in My Computer.

  • Press Win+R.
  • Type CMD.
  • Now type DISKPART list volume select volume D:
  • Now type assign letter D & press ENTER.
  • Now restart your PC.
